An awesome opportunity has become available in our Computers department for a Product & Marketing Manager within the Technology and Communications division.

Key responsibilities:

  • You will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with our suppliers
  • Managing product categories and life cycles within the technology division of our retail business
  • Negotiate terms of trade, select products for resale and generally set the tone for our style and range in store
  • Negotiate funding and marketing budgets and activities
  • Helping set and communicate the strategy of the core product category you are responsible for
  • Determine core ranges across multiple sub categories for the technology division of the business
  • Effectively market and promote the category in traditional and non-traditional media
  • SAP reporting to the business
  • Form strong, productive working relationships with key stakeholders in all stores across the country

 The skills and experience you’ll need to bring with you include:

  • Experience managing multiple categories, inventory, product life cycles, marketing activities and funding, preferable technology, however this is not essential
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to quickly build constructive, effective relationships across the business and with external parties
  • Experience in a retail environment in medium to large organisations involving multiple business sites
  • Strong attention to detail; investigative mind with the ability to anticipate and adjust for any roadblocks
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills; ability to prioritise and control own workload in a fast-paced, pressured, deadline driven environment
  • High level of professionalism, dedication, flexibility and willingness to pitch-in when required
  • Strong ability to influence key stakeholders internally and externally
  • Good sense of humour, full of positive energy, down to earth and work well autonomously
